Gesso, wax, oil colour, house acrylic on canvas.
This is a series of final works, all painted basically within the same vein, looking for a less is more outcome, house acrylic on canvas, aiming for a fun, edited out and loose result.
I also aimed for a more controlled outcome, and was having fun with the pouring of gessoed black dots on painted backgrounds. Sometimes using linseed oil as well.
I like these works for their fun and funkiness and explorative style. There is a sense of tension and I like the playfulness of these works; the fact that the black dots/splodges look like they are travelling off the canvas.
